ICH BIN EIN JAZZ APPLE

Berlin was the venue for the First International Jazz Day on February 3, 2009.  The event attracted growers, advisors and marketers from all over the world focusing on exchanging information on the Jazz apple, the rising star of the apple world.

Attendance at the festival was seen as confirmation of Jazz’s reputation as the apple with global bite.  In attendance were countries representing the 2 million plus trees already planted included New Zealand, South Africa, France, Chile, Belgium, South Africa, USA, England, Italy, Switzerland, Australia and Canada.

2009 will see more than two million cartons of Jazz sold internationally with growers receiving a significant premium for these apples in a challenging market.  Volumes are expected to increase by more than 50% within five years.

Regional Managers updated growers on learning from their respective growing environments.  Growers took away new ideas from other parts of the world where the apple is grown.  Part of the great success of the Jazz apple is the ability of growers everywhere to consistently produce a high quality apple.
