MARCO PIERRE WHO? JAZZ COOKS UP A STORM AT THE BBC GOOD FOOD SHOW

The Jazz Team has just got back from a busy week up in Birmingham at the BBC Good Food Show. The NEC was packed to the rafters with seeing 100,000 visitors check out the nation’s best food and drink.  With 26,000 visitors alone arriving on the Saturday, it was a busy 5 days for the team and without the odd Jazz Apple to energize the staff, I don’t know how they would have coped.

In a repeat of last year’s success, the Jazz stand was one of the main attractions. Selling the apples, handing out slices and cups of freshly squeezed juice, we crunched our way through an incredible 20,625 apples!

As well as the Jazz team, we were lucky enough to have growers Rob and John Hinge on hand to celebrate the British Jazz season and talk to the public about their beautiful English apples.

Our ‘Guess how many apples in the picking trough’ game was a hit. With over 2500 entries 3 people managed to guess the correct figure of 2232 apples and 2 weren’t far off winning themselves a Baumatic juicer.

A big thanks to all those who dropped by the stand! We’ll be on the road again in March at the Vitality Show in Earl’s Court so www.getinvolved.com
