Team Jazz Update- Gabriella Shaw
To refresh your memory, Gaby is a 19 year-old girl from Leeds who was picked for Team Jazz due to her incredible cycling ability. Unfortunately, injury initially slowed her progress but we are happy to announce that this past year, she has been back with vengeance.
Inspired by Olympic champion Nicole Cooke, this past season has been especially busy and exciting for Gaby. She was racing in the Women's National Series races all over Europe, finishing in the top 10 on numerous occasions and also had an especially wonderful end to the season with a 4th place finish in the last national series race of the season!
Gaby has also had the opportunity to race in the International UCI stage races in Czech Republic, France, Belgium and Holland, which Gaby told us was a great experience and a great pathway into women's professional cycling. Now it’s all coming to the end, but after a jam packed season, Gaby can really be pleased with her results and progress!
As with all athletes, Gaby has big ambitions for the future; she’d like to get selected to be part of the Great Britain Team and to compete in the European and World Championships plus the Olympics. As always we, here at Jazz HQ, wish Gaby the best of luck!!
