After months of scouring the country searching for Britain’s top sporting talents, the first ten members of Jazz Apples Team Jazz hav been selected. The successful ten are made up of an eclectic mix of athletes including a snow-boarder, a rower, a basketball player, two cyclists, a beach volleyball international, a fearless climber, a Tae Kwon-Do expert, a javelin thrower and a sail-boat racer. The lucky ten each received £1000 to help them in their pursuit of sporting glory as well as kit and a publicity campaign.

The judging took place in London where representatives from Jazz Apples, extreme sports athlete Tim Emmett and Emmanuel Blanchard from sports charity Sports Aid met to look through the 112 applications.

Jazz Apples commercial Manager Gary Harrison commented, “The strength of applicants was incredibly strong and the judging was extremely tough but we feel that we have selected 10 excellent candidates who have big futures ahead of them and epitomise the Jazz brand through their chosen sport, personality and achievements. We are looking forward to following and helping these ten as they strive to be the best in their chosen sport.”
The Team met up for the first time at Milton Keynes Xscape centre where they were treated to an action packed weekend including indoor sky diving, climbing and snowboarding. Team Jazz judge Tim Emmett was on hand to give a motivational talk, offer advice and hand out the branded kit and the sponsorship cheques.

Gary Harrison commented: “It was great to get the Team together at last. The sponsorship scheme has been something we have been putting a lot of work into for the past 6 months so it was great to finally meet the chosen ten and reward them with a fun packed weekend. The enthusiasm of each member was terrific and it was fantastic to see them all gelling as a Team so quickly. Hopefully, with the support of Jazz Apples, each other and Tim Emmett it won’t be long before we see the ten reaching their full potential.”
