Kitty Wallace – Age 14 Climbing

Following in Tim Emmett’s footsteps, Kitty not only wants to be a world champion climber but also has big dreams of tackling difficult routes never climbed before.  After winning the British Youth Championships U16, Kitty now competes internationally around the world and is the youngest British female to red-point a climb at grade 8a+.  That's a good thing!

Update!

July saw  Kitty scale new heights winning the British Junior Championships with a daring 62ft ascent at the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena. Hot off her success she’s currently competing in the ‘European Youth Series’, a series of 5 competitions taking place in climbing meccas such as Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Russia and this year Scotland, where she’ll be up against 40 of Europe’s top cliffhangers.
