Tim Linsell – Age 16 Sail Boat Racer
After a series of regional wins, Tim made the UK Cadet Class Association National Squad in 2007/8 and now plans to emulate Ben Ainslie by competing in and winning gold at the Olympics in 2016.

This year Tim hopes to win a place in the RYA Youth National Squad with an exciting season of regattas ahead. The nationals on the 24-28th August saw Tim and team mate Ben Clegg face tempest like conditions with 25mph winds and 2ft waves. Although the lads didn't place highly in the end (due to 2 contentious disqualifications) they were one of the few boats to remain intact and Tim sees the experience of these harsh conditions as invaluable to his future racing career.
